Katie’s acting background brings a rare dual perspective to her directing work. She was recognized on The Hollywood Reporter’s Oscar Watch List for Best Actress and nominated for Best Comedic Actress by Women in Film alongside Melissa McCarthy, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kristen Wiig. Katie recently returned from the Women in Comedy Festival in NYC, where she moderated a panel of writers from The Daily Show, The Tonight Show, and Jimmy Fallon.
